And with a knock... he appeared Dwarfing the doorway Begging entry Lead he was..to the party Place of honor was his Chatting resumed Of smells and tastes She once remembered Of skipping and running So carefree, so pain free Intently he listened Nary a word spoken Biscuits served, tea poured She in her princess gown Sipping in elegance He hooded, cloaked in darkness Mesmerized by her strength Fortified by her weaknesses In awe of stamina Of a spirit, mentality Way beyond her years Time ticked away... As it had thru centuries In her presence... on she, he was affixed Ah, beauty in innocence Then chimes struck Snapping his entrancement Last sip was taken Raising his hand reaching out In this Fairytale fractured He again caught enchantment in her eyes After a bow... he bid adieu With promise of tea party Attended by teddy, Tina and he And a beautiful elderly lady Many, many years from now..
