Please help! Our 3 year old neo mastiff (Max) has been going after our 2 year old shut zu-Maltese (Pierre). Pierre rolls over and shows his belly and cowers from Max. Today, Pierre was across the room, almost hiding from Max, and Max just stared at him walked over, pawed Pierre to his back and then growled and went after him. This has been going on every day for a few days now. Our dogs are social so Im not sure why Max is behaving like this? I cant get by Max bc he shows me the same aggression! Max doesnt actually bite (not yet) but growls and pounces and goes after as if he was going to bite. He is starting to scare me and Im not sure why he is behaving like this. The only person he doesnt show aggression towards is my fiancé who he protects. He also doesnt act like this towards our daughter but I am afraid that if she jokes around with my fiancé he might go after her (my fiancé will hug me and Max jumped up to scratch my stomach and separate us). Any advice is appreciated! Max isnt fixed and I know this is part of the problem but there has to be more than just that for this type of behavior?
