Please help find markets ... Annapurna tries to earn some income by selling neatly processed and packed tamarind, amla powder etc. to whatever city markets we are able to organize. Can anyone help ? Say, order 100kg groudnuts and sell to friends, relatives, local shops ? Anything else ? ... Her story is again one of strength against adversities ... Shes 29 years. Was married to a boy in the village - decent boy, educated (B.Com.), non drunkard, and we all felt it was a best match ... and then he turned out to be an inveterate wife beater ... He has dragged her out on the street by the hair a few times also. She tried very hard to stay married, as the status of an ummarried woman in the village stays undefined, and she felt, unsafe. But after a failed suicide attempt, her mother brought her back home. The boy went on to get married again. She was very unhappy, but picked up the peices of her life. She trained herself as a tailor and the neighbouring hamlets also come to her. She has been taking initiative and procuring good amla and processing it when our doctor was willing to buy it from her at a good rate. She has been packing and moving tamarind when we are able to locate a buyer. She does everything in good cheer ... village people have not heard of the word depression ... life has to be taken to stride, and one moves on ...
