Please help support Bruce our Personal Trainer with his challenge this week by texting your donation to the number at the bottom of this post. Yesterday was Day 1 of 4, cycling 75 miles from Whitehaven to Keswick with a total climb of 7,428 ft Including Hardnott Pass, Wrynose Pass, Whinlatter Pass and Honister Pass. Today its Day 2 which includes a 1 mile swim across Derwent Water and cycling 65 miles to Alston. Climbing up Kirkstone Pass and Hartside Pass with a total climb 5,528 ft If that wasnt tough enough the last 2 days are below. Day 3: Run 37 miles to Close House Hotel with a total climb 6,598 ft Day 4 Run a Marathon to Tynemouth Why is he doing this???? To raise money for a great local cause for the Childrens Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. The money will be used to buy equipment, facilities, aftercare and research. The idea is to raise as much money as possible so more young children can have a bright future.
