Please help us and welcome our new Winemaker Scott Morrison. Scott Morrison was raised outside of Sacramento, CA, in the quant town of Carmichael. He is the youngest of four brothers, and still holds rank over his younger sister. While attending college at UC Davis he found his calling and enrolled in the Viticulture and Enology Department. Before graduating in 2004, Scott gained firsthand experience by working his first vintage at Artesa Vineyards and Winery. This was all the confirming Scott needed; he was hooked! Upon graduating Scott started in the “real world” at Rudd Vineyards and Winery where he worked harvest and then was asked to stay longer. He then fled the America’s and interned in New Zealand at South Pacific Cellars. When he returned, he was hired on full time as the Lab Supervisor for The Hess Collection Winery. After 3 years with Hess, Scott was then hired on as the Assistant Winemaker for Paul Hobbs Winery. After 4 vintages at Paul Hobbs Winery, he was promoted to Winemaker at Crossbarn, by Paul Hobbs. Greg LaFollette, Paul Hobbs and Charles Thomas are some of the esteemed winemakers Scott has had the privilege to work under and gain invaluable experience. While not making wine, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, wood working, playing golf and spending time with friends and family.
