Please join me in prayer...2pm(EST)...TODAY. This past January - TopicsExpress

Please join me in prayer...2pm(EST)...TODAY. This past January my husband was laid off from his job. In 11 months he has had five interviews despite 100s of jobs that he has applied for. In each of the interviews it seemed as though he was going to get an offer but circumstances beyond his control prevented any offers being given to him. We have survived these 11 months by Gods grace alone. Though the money is gone we have received blessings upon blessings that have allowed us to keep our home and provide food on the table. Just the other day one of our bank accounts had been overdrawn and the other had 35 CENTS in it. God came through for us again and we are able to pay our mortgage this month. Our faith has been tested time and again, yet grown stronger. Our marriage has also grown stronger this past year. These are praises to which I am beyond grateful but the daily struggle for my husband to provide is still very real. It has been two months since his last interview. He has another one today. Please join us in prayer that he gets a job offer. We would love nothing more than to start 2015 anew. I know this post is long but I cannot end it without adding this...we know that everything comes in Gods timing, not our own. For years I have prayed for my husband to feel Gods love more intimately. I used to beg and plead for him to come to church with me. Of course, that was ME trying to bring him to Christ on my OWN. This past year, in the midst of our financial struggles, God has brought my husband to his knees and humbled him to the point of surrender. Last week he came to me and said that he wants to be baptized at our Christmas Eve service. I cant help but think that this was all part of Gods plan...that He has been withholding a job until he completely surrendered. So while it has become painful to get my hopes up only to have them dashed, I cant help but think that today might be the day. What an incredible testimony he will have if that is true. So, if you have made it this far, I ask that you join me in prayer this afternoon as my husband goes on one more interview. Pray that this is the last. That after nearly a year he is able to return to work. And that God be glorified in the amazing testimony that he is preparing for my husband. Thank you, PFT family!!!!
