Please keep my sweet friend Ben, his mom Liz and the rest of his family in your thoughts..... Todd and I are so sad to report that we went for Bens monthly labs yesterday and his blood work showed that his cancer has come back. He has relapsed. Although we knew this was a definite possibility, it is heartbreaking and terrifying to have this become our reality once again. Almost a year to the day of his original diagnosis. We ask for your prayers and support during the next few months as we most certainly cannot do this again without them. The team is finalizing a plan and we should know more tomorrow after Bens surgery to have his central line placed again. We are at CHOC, thankfully, which has made this nightmare a bit easier to navigate. Ben is all smiles and was excited to come back. No surprise there. He is a positive, upbeat, happy little boy who will beat this again.
