Actors & Actresses Needed to Bring Local & National History to Life Project Americans Coming Together (P.A.C.T), local director Carla Wilson, and event coordinator Joy Evans will be holding an informational meeting and auditions for two local original productions designed to bring both national and local history to life. This meeting will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints located at 411 N. Saliman Road in Carson City, Nevada. The first of these two original productions is written by local playwright, Karen Pacini and is titled “Foundation of a Nation.” Through 13 historically based vignettes actors and actresses will portray famous Americans such as Betsy Ross, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in telling the story of the Constitution of the United States of America. Performances of this production will be on September 12 & 13, 2014 in Carson City. The second original production written by Joy Evans is scheduled for two performances on Friday, October 31st at the Carson City Cemetery. On Halloween night 2014, visitors to the Carson City Cemetery will be led on a guided tour to the gravesites of famous Nevadans such as J. D. Yerington, Hank Monk, and Mark Twain’s niece, Jennie Clemens who died at age 9 from spotted fever. Actors and actresses are needed to portray these famous people by telling their story from their respective gravesites. If you are age 8 to 80 and interested in helping us bring these famous national and local historical figures to life we would love to have you audition for us on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints located at 411 N.
