Please please please stop blaming the McCaans for their child being abducted. I believe we have all let our guard down once or twice with our own children, whether it be in a beer garden chatting to friends or in shops catching up with old friends and taking out eye off the ball. But in our case there was not a sick person in the vicinity waiting to take advantage. If you were given a day to walk in The McCaans shoes and wake up every day with the Guilt then you would probably stop blaming them. As for the cost to the taxpayer. Just think of people like mairead philpott using public money to appeal their sentence. Give them a chance to find out what happened to their innocent 3 year old.
