Please post anon I Have just seen a post from a girl looking for a hairdresser to carry out highlights and a cut and blowdry for as little as £30 .... as a hairdresser this really winds me up! It is about time that people realised that when you have your hair done there is so much more to it than you realise. Out of the measly £30 you are prepared to pay we have to pay the following. The colour/tint/bleach The peroxide/developer The foils/meche The shampoo The conditioner The styling products Our public liability insurance Business insurance Buildings insurance Music liscence in most cases Gas/elctric/water or petrol if in your own home Pay ourselves a wage This is all before we have even thought about making anykind of profit. As proffesionals it is also our duty to provide you with the best service and techniques and this is only possible with continual training throughout our career. Next time you want a cheap hair do, please spare a thought for what the stylists have to take into consideration when pricing their services. Thankyou
