Please pray for the family of our precious Mrs. Carmene. She was one of the sweetest, sincere christian "ladies" I have ever known. She has already been missed terribly at church and will continue to be missed. EAKES, Sarah Carmene Hight, age 85 of Mt. Juliet born September 14, 1927 and entered into eternal rest on August 28, 2013. She attended school in Mt. Juliet and was a member at Center Chapel church of Christ for 65+ years. She worked for L&C/American General for 44+ years. Carmene and her husband of 58 years, Raymond were part owners in Freeman Music & Loan in Nashville. Carmene was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Richard Eakes; parents, Grady and Rebecca Hight; sister, Vally D. Lowman; and nieces, Becky Tayes and Kay Hart. She is survived by sister, Lounett Hight Tayes; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Angelia) Tayes, Joey Tayes, Tony Tayes, Lisa (Joe) Low, Faye (Harold) Anderson, and Ann Jackson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Steve Tayes, Scottie Tayes, Latisha (Blake) Hall, Annette Tayes, Whitney Low, Brad Anderson, Grady Anderson, Al Anderson, Kain Hailey, Micah Hailey, Lyric Johnson and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31st at 2pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Darrell Duncan officiating. Interment will follow the service at Wilson County Memorial Gardens with John Hiter, Alan Graves, Joe Low, Harold Anderson, Steve Tayes, Scottie Tayes, Blake Hall and Gary Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are: Stan Eakes, Al Anderson, Brad Anderson, Grady Anderson, Mitchell Smith, Ronnie Bond, Buddy Crunk, several other nephews and all the Elders at Center Chapel. Visitation will be held Friday, August 30th from 5-9 pm and Saturday, August 31st from 9am-2pm.
