Lets examine the facts about Denmark who pays a fantastic rate of $21.00 per hour for minimum wage. What does it cost to live in Denmark and what are the taxes.... Below is that information. An inexpensive meal in Denmark will cost about $17.50 Combo meal at McDonalds $11.30 Milk is about $1.15 per ltr or about $4.35 per gallon Loaf of bread $3.00 1KG Of Chicken $12.00 1KG Cheese $ 13.88 Doz Eggs $4.00 Bottle of pop .33lt $3.65 VW Golf about $44,000 Gasoline per lt $2.0 or $7.94 per gallon avg fillup of 10 gallons $ 79.40 1 Pair of Levis $135.00 Nikes Shoes about $135.00 Pair of good shoes $144.00 Rent for 1 Bedroom in city $1030 per month Rent for 3 Bedroom in city $2000 per month Price to buy apt in city per sq/meter $4,275.00 per sq meter Electric per month $239.00 Average salary per month $3360 after taxes Denmark has the highest income tax of any country I believe but when I looked it up it is 60.2%. The end result is a person living in Denmark making $21 per hour could not even pay rent, buy gas and food.... Is that really better?
