Please read my last two posts before you read this one, if you have not done so already. Just so you can catch up. This is what I would do. (If I had the power) A national warning. You have two weeks to gather every horse in your name/care. All must be vet checked then the ones that pass that you would like to keep must have a passport in your name or a huge fine the following month. The ones that fail the vet, will be put to sleep by a vet. Take this as a free pass, not be done for cruelty this time. You have one chance. After that a huge fine and a ban for life. This should be offered as a once off service given for free by the powers above ie. Dept of agri/governments. This would be one fast way of making passports compulsory. Also a huge fine and your equine taken off you if you are caught breeding. If you were to breed your grade A showjumper, you must apply for permission. Now I want all of you to help me, add your comments to this and ideas. Lets see how "we" the animals lovers of Ireland would sort this "mess"
