Some of my friend and family know about a young man I mentored for several years who is a wonderful pianist. Jeffery Ou is currently a scholarship student working on his masters degree in piano performance at the University of North Texas. He (歐哲瑋) recently auditioned for a fantastic opportunity to study in Austria this summer. Although the courses are not inexpensive, the opportunity is amazing. Jeffery has earned a partial scholarship and a work grant to cover part of the costs, but his family can only help a little more, so he needs to raise funds to attend. He will be having some benefit concerts in the DFW area, but I would like to ask my friends and family, if you can, to support Jeffery as well. Even a small monetary donation from many people will help Jeffery have a dream come true to study with master pianists from all over the world. Here is a very brief explanation of the program for which Jeffery has qualified: The pianist at AIMS is exposed to a variety of valuable educational experiences: Private instruction in collaborative techniques, classes in repertoire and style, language and diction study, observing voice and coaching sessions, and master classes with professional singers and coaches. The pianist also has performance opportunities through the many concerts offered each summer. In addition, AIMS offers career counseling through its unique Audition Training Seminar and, for qualified participants, exposure to European agents and presenters who come to Graz in search of promising talent. Pianists may choose from two tracks of study: the Opera Studio and the Concert Studio. Please consider helping Jeffery.
