For anyone who caught yesterdays St. Albert City Council meeting; were pretty sure youre already aware of the drama and accusations that occurred. Although the administrators of this page completely understand the seriousness of these accusations and the impact that they may have on voter confidence; at this point and time we do not have in our possession any factual reports or information from either side of the issue that we can share with you. What we have been advised is that five out of the seven council members present at last nights meeting were given a lengthy report only 10 minutes prior to the commencement of yesterdays council meeting. Thus, not all members of city council were prepared or had an opportunity to read through the facts of the report presented. Most of the council chamber including the audience and media reporters were completely caught of guard by yesterdays announcement. As we do not have a copy of the report nor, are we fully aware of the sources utilized, we cannot comment and will not infer or make unsupported assumptions on either side. What we can assure you; as we become aware of various report details, we will be certain to share the various news reports and articles that come forward. edmontonjournal/Albert+mayor+says+accidental+double+dipping+since+corrected/10268158/story.html
