Please remember Torey... Torey is innocent of the murder of Cassie... I know I have said this before but one will never understand why I insist about this unless they read The Guilty Innocent for themselves. Look what one reader wrote, Change of heart. I was born and raised in Pocatello, and was still living there during Toreys trial. Like all of Poky, the case shook me to my core and I followed it closely...or, as closely as I could with the biased information that was released to the public. I had no doubt that both Brian and Torey were guilty, and truly felt that justice was served when they were both sentenced. My friend, who still resides in Pocatello and felt the same as I did about Brian and Torey, recently read this book and recommended that I do the same. At first, I refused to purchase it. I was ignorant, and did not want to contribute to a murderer. I then decided to read the free preview on Amazon, and immediately purchased the book once I finished. I now deeply regret my opinion, and especially regret the strong negative feelings I had towards Torey. For that, I am truly sorry. I cannot put into words how deeply I feel for the family, and the injustice that Torey is going through. I am beyond appalled at how law enforcement and the court system handled Toreys case, and completely disregarded the concrete evidence that cleared him. I know these are only words, but I commend Shannon for continuously fighting her your son--especially with so many obstacles and people against her. What happened to Cassie is unimaginable, and I mean no disrespect to her family, but an innocent child should not spend life in jail for a crime that he did not commit. I highly recommend this book. God bless all of the families involved in this tragic incident. [By Cara - Published on Amazon, 15 Mar 2013, Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase]
