Please remember to plan accordingly Helena residents! Saturday is the 44th Annual Helena Christmas Parade. The parade begins at 1:00PM and will roll between 12:45 and 1:00pm sharp! The parade route begins at Highway 261 at the Alabama Telco Credit Union and ends before the first set of railroad tracks in Old Town. That entire intersection will be closed for at least an hour during the parade. Please make alternate plans if you are headed into town at that time (Hillsboro Parkway will be open all the way around). If you need to go grocery shopping that day, please allow yourself time as that area of town will begin to get crowded by 10:00AM and will not thin out until after the parade. You can get the forms at the city website cityofhelena.org under the about Helena tab on the left hand side of the site. There is a tab that says Christmas Parade info. Please make sure all announcers sheets are at City Hall by 11:00AM.
