Born on : Wikipedia says 1929 and AINMK (his sons party website) says 4th July 1933 2. Died on: 1982, while he was jogging in Udhagamandalam during his Film Shooting of Pokkiri Raja ( at his age of 53 or 49 ) Really a surprise to know that at a short span of his lifetime he has achieved a very big place in Tamil Cinema History...... 3. He was the son of an advocate and his uncle was a police officer. No Filmy Background... 4. He was employed as Administrative officer in Gemini Studios ( Same like Gemini Ganesan..!!!) 5. Later he was working as a Sales Person in M/s. P.Orr & Sons in Chennai 6. He was a Stage actor in his early days. He started his career in Films in 1957, when he had a chance to act with Mr. Gemini Ganesan 7. He had acted in more than 100 Films in both lead roles and secondary roles. He has acted in villain roles and character roles also. 8. He had established a Place for himself and called as Navarasa Thilagam......, though the field was dominated by Stalwarts like Sivaji, MGR and Gemini, during his period. 9. He was paired with many heroines of the time including Devika, Jayalalitha, but his most constant heroine with whom he was paired for a record of 19 times was the actress Kanchana. 10.
