Please share this status so that we can get the word out: Pattemore Constructions are assisting Impact Care and Compassion Ltd who have already dispatched a container of supplies from Brisbane to consolidate a shipping container from Darwin to be sent to typhoon ravaged Philippines. The shipping container will be loaded at the Pattemore Constructions yard at 70 Dreamtime Drive McMinns Lagoon next week for dispatch the following week. If you would like to contribute to this effort the following items are required: Survivor Boxes: A box with something to cook with (pot/pan, utensils); Towels; Sheets; cups; Food Containers, Torch, Batteries; and if there is room some dry food such as rice (please if you put any canned food in, make sure it can be opened or include a can opener). If there is room you are welcome to include some summer clothes, but we will send more of this next container. Generators: If you have an old generator laying around we would love it (but please make sure it works!) As you can imagine with no power the nights are very dark. Many children have lost their parents and as night falls, I cant even imagine... It is hoped that we can bring light and a community point in these areas. Tarpaulins. Tools: Any spare hammers or saws you may have laying around. Trying to rebuild your house (even if it is just a shack) is difficult to do with rocks and rusty nails. First Aid supplies: antiseptic, bandages, paracetamol, over the counter antibiotics. Please contact us on 08 8988 1031 to arrange a suitable time for dropoff.
