Dear President Barack Obama: Haitian-Americans, immigrant justice and human rights advocates have urged the creation of a Haitian Family Reunification Parole Program for the past four years, ever since a 7.0 magnitude earthquake killed 250,000 people and left millions homeless. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has approved 110,000 visas including 16,000 for children yet, they remain on a wait list for up to more than 12 years - languishing in Haiti where their lives are at risk. President Obama, you can put an end to this now by instructing Jeh Johnson and the Department of Homeland Security to create and implement a Haitian American Family Reunification Parole Program.
