U.S. National Women’s Team All-time leading scorer Abby Wambach is coming to Oregon Youth Soccer on Saturday, November 1st and your daughter can play soccer with her! Abby’s event is a fundraiser for Oregon’s TOPSoccer* program and will be held at SoccerPlex in Portland. Register by 11:59 pm tomorrow and you can win a spot in a private clinic with Abby Wambach! We will select a lucky winner among all those registered as of 11:59 pm tomorrow. In addition, every player fundraising $250 will attend lunch with Abby Wambach on November 1st, and may be accompanied by one parent. Lunch includes any one item autographed, a picture with Abby, followed by lunch with Abby, a Q&A, and finally a soccer game with Abby and the top 64 fundraisers! Everyone raising $250 will play soccer with Abby, the top 10 overall fundraisers sit with Abby at lunch. The top 2 overall fundraisers sit next to Abby! The program is based on skill level, not age, and participants include players, coaches and buddies – volunteers who are paired with each player to assist with the game. TOPSoccer creates an opportunity for players with disabilities to be part of the soccer community, where they grow emotionally and physically and where their families, coaches and buddies connect to share in the joy of playing soccer.
