Please support. This removal of parking access at New Waste will effectively make much of SW Dartmoor inaccessible due to the decision of a private landlord. This will make it difficult for people to visit the Yealm Steps, Stall Moor, the largest stone row on Dartmoor, the Staldon Stone Row, one of the most beautiful stone circles (strictly a cairn circle) the Erme Moor circle or The Dancers as it is known which terminates the longest stone row in Europe. Southern Dartmoor is partitioned by the River Erme. If you are on the moor to the east of the Erme it is not possible to get to the western side without walking about 10kms north to circumnavigate the Erme. If this restriction remains then people will have to park a long distance away and walk by road to get anywhere near the entrance of this part of the moor. Dartmoor maybe a National Park but it is amazing how vulnerable access to much of it is at the whims of private landlords.
