Please support our Mansfield Market - open 6 days a week. Yes the market has declined in size over the years just the same as many large shops have gone bust. Mansfield shoppers have told us they want to be able to visit Mansfield Market any day Monday through to Saturday. They have told us they like the chance to browse around and get a good price. Some people also appreciate the extra space they have for buggies or disability scooters compared to shops. Not all people want to shop online. If the Council reduce the number of days the market is on some traders will not be able to make a living and will stop trading altogether. We ask Mansfield District Council - would you expect stores such as Primark to open 3 days a week? A 3 day a week market will be detrimental to shoppers - even less choice of shopping places and to Mansfield District Council revenues as even less traders means less rents. Keep our Market 6 days a week!!
