Please take a moment and read this letter from coach James regarding the pink out game tomorrow night. Dear CM Staff and Community, Friday night (October 25th) marks the culmination of our 4th annual pink-out week. What started as separate endeavors by the volleyball program and the football program has become a huge Central Montcalm community event(s). Athletes, students, staff, community leaders and friends of Central Montcalm schools have embraced the fight and through our combined efforts, it looks as if we are going to exceed $20,000 raised for the American Cancer Society. As a celebration of this community cause, I would like to form a life-chain tunnel for the football team to run through as we enter the field for Fridays game. At the beginning of the tunnel I would like to have our community members who are our survivors of cancer or are presently battling cancer. Also at the beginning of the chain I would like to honor those who are willing to stand with us that may have lost someone to cancer. Therefore, if you know someone who is a survivor or fighter or even a loved one of someone who has lost their battle, please, please, please encourage them to come be part of our chain. Following the survivors/fighters is where we would like to show the unity of our school community. . .I would like the rest of the chain (tunnel) to be formed by students, staff, and friends of the CM school community. Wouldnt it be amazing to have a tunnel of survivors, fighters and supporters filling the length of the home sideline!!!!! SO. . .at approximately 6:25 p.m. we will begin to form our life-chain, which will begin at the gate that leads onto the football field (in front of the concession stand) and hopefully extend down our sideline! After the football team runs through, I would like for everyone to stand together on the track to be a part of a special presentation from the American Cancer Society. Symbolically we will stand behind our survivors and fighters. Hope to see you at 6:25 p.m. on Friday. . .deck out in pink from head-to-toe!! Thanks! P.S.
