Please take a moment to read this important message from Peekskill Superintendent Dr. Licopoli regarding todays Shelter in Place order at Peekskill High School: Dear parents and guardians, This message is to inform you that today, Friday, May 23, at approximately 1:30 p.m., we learned that three bathrooms in our high school had writing on the walls suggesting a bomb threat. In accordance to protocol, a shelter in place was called while police and bomb threat specialists were called to assess the situation. It was determined that there was not a threat and students were dismissed at 2:35 p.m. Please note that this matter is being thoroughly investigated and the individual and/or individuals responsible for this act will be held accountable to the maximum penalty in accordance to the District’s Code of Conduct. Finally, I want to assure you that your children’s safety is our most important priority. Thank you for your attention. De acuerdo con el protocolo, un refugio en lugar fue proclamado mientras la policía y especialistas de amenaza de bombas fueron llamados para evaluar la situación. Se determinó que no había amenaza y los estudiantes fueron despedidos a las 2:35 p.m. Tenga en cuenta que este asunto está siendo investigado a fondo y el individuo y o individuos responsables tendrán que rendir cuentas con la pena máxima en conformidad con el Código de Conducta del Distrito.
