Please take note. If you ask about getting a bloodhound puppy and say you cant afford *insert price, gas, etc here* we are gonna let you know that Bloodhounds arent cheap. We do not mean to offend or upset you but bloodhounds eat, get into a lot of stuff, need vet care, are prone to bloat, and they are not lazy (some are but most are far from lazy) like showed on TV and in movies. You have to be prepared for that, at least mentally, and you have to do your research. Because of all of this stuff Bhs end up in shelters and die daily. Rescues are full a lot and cant save Them all so yes some do die in shelters. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO OFFEND YOU! WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE THE BREED AND TRYING TO EDUCATE. Please dont take offense or get defensive or upset. We are trying to HELP you so you dont get a pup then are surprised by how big they are or health issues they have. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and I hope Santa Clause and Santa Paws brought you, your human kids, and your fur kids something good! :)
