Please tell me this is not true ..... This is a contact sport and at a World Championship for 12-14 years old kids you must assume they have the level to compete with full contact. As far I can see it looks difficult to breath and they doesnt look very comfortable. ....... For beginners and kids under 12 this maybe could be an solution. If you really want to discuss the danger of headkicks then look at the impact of the hard kicks to head, it is actually more dangerous to get hit in the back of the head than a sore nose...and why is it always that WTF want to use bigger tournaments ( G) or championships to test new things and best of all, only give people a weeks notice...... or less.
