Please watch this video. When the Boko Haram problem started, we had many debates as to what could be the cause of the conflict and what could stop it. During the many debates over the years, I maintained that Boko Haram cannot be defeated if corruption isnt defeated first. Its practically impossible to fight an insurgency of this magnitude while looting and sharing public funds for the purpose of reelection and other political goals. Let us remove our heads from within the sand today and acknowledge the truth as its the only way to ensure that we identify the problems that require urgent attention. Of course many will continue to remain in denial. Let it be in the hearts of the righteous (here I dont mean religious righteous but I refer to those well meaning Nigerians who reject the corrupt status quo) that those who continue to support this corrupt system must also be viewed as inadvertantly aiding and abetting the insurgency.
