Plots have been Laid. I know quite a few people who own Asses [Donkeys, anyway] and I dont covet them at all. Pretty much the same with Neighbors wives; Im more likely to think Oh dear, she seems nice but imagine having to wake up everyday.... Such homicides as I have committed have always been in heart, not actual deed and by and large I acquit myself reasonably well on the 10 Commandments: lots of Graven Images here in Slovakia but I have bowed down before none of them. I do less well on the 7 Deadly Sins. (Used to be 8, apparently, but St Basil thought accidie was too complex for ordinary folk). If you know me, I need not address you on the subject of my Sloth. Gluttony of differing kinds is an ongoing trial.But Anger is swiftly climbing up the league table; not full throated masculine rage, alas, but a sort of petulant irascibility to which I find myself increasingly prey. I read an article years ago in a satirical magazine, an Open Letter to the United States and signed the Rest of the World. You know how, every so often, your State Departments confer about finally joining the modern world by adopting the Metric System? Well, on the very day that you do, the rest of us have agreed that, that night, were gonna change over to Pints/Gallons/Hundredweights...all the rest of it, without even telling you. We talk about this a lot, and sometimes its all we can do to keep from bust out laughing, Yous Sincerely, Brazil, Mexico et al. Childish inconsequential stuff, but for some reason it has stayed with me. For I increasingly suspect that a plot has been laid - not merely Global, but involving this and other worlds - which targets not our closest ally but me personally. This treason in a Nutshell? Let us all, jointly and severally, act as if we dont understand what Pete Melville is saying. We need to keep this up no matter how irrational it seems; regardless of how clearly he expresses himself: we must practice that look of dumbfounded incomprehension: the shrug: the feigned irritation. Well, dont think I dont know whats going on, peoples of the World + Thrones and Powers and Dominions beyond.{more to come; oh yes}
