Pls take note of the following: JDMs FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION: UPDATE FROM NSS Those who claim that the government under JDM is not doing enough to fight corruption might have to re - examine their position in light of evidence resulting from recent actions at the National Service Scheme. Through a more robust service personnel audit processes, the financial slippage at NSS is now contained, and the analysis so far from a comparative data shows the following: In comparison to last service year (sept 2013 to Aug 2014), this service year (sept 2014 to 2015) so far we prevented 24,752 ghost names from getting on the allowances payroll and saved the State over 8.6 million cedis in that month alone. In October this year, we prevented 23,126 ghost names from getting on the allowances payroll and saved the State almost 8.1 million in that month alone. In November this service year prevented 31,072 from getting on the allowances payroll and saved the State over 10.8 million in that month alone. What is more, following the initiative of JDM, and proactive steps by the BNI, NSS staff who admitted involvement in the financial malfeasance are paying back the over 130 million stolen from the State through the scheme last year as an initial step to any future actions to be taken.
