Poem: Tearing It Down, by Mark Thiel Tearing It Down my bed is open and my heart is ajar no idea where youre from but i know where you are I dont remember your name just get in the car you can whisper it to me later the rain-drenched desert of anticipitation the noose of the moon the looseness of the sea all of the things youve been to me rock endlessly forth and back through this room Ive ended up in in this town in which Ive died I ride the currents and tides of our absence walk the rocky shore upon which we were wrecked and still in the horrible stillness of the night I suspect things could have been different if only they had stayed the same you tore it down girl you sweetened up the whole joint Mark Thiel
