Poetry Book Project: Due October 9, 2013 (Thursday) Directions: You will be creating a 6 line, 7 stanza free verse poem revealing the elements of your choice book’s plot. You need to use all literary devices. Stanza 1: 2 Dynamic Characters: looks, family, personality, pet(s), attitude, internal conflict? Pick a few to show in writing Stanza 2: Setting: where? when? mood/atmosphere. pick ONE setting that seems to move the plot. is it a person vs. nature conflict? then you can combine stanzas 2-3. Stanza 3: Conflict: using plot, describe what the main character faces as a problem. pick one. is it person v. person, person v. self (internal), person v. technology, person v. society. Stanza 4: Climax: What is the turning point in the story’s plot? Stanza 5: Due Tomorrow!!! Falling Action/ Resolution: describe the end of the book’s plot.
