Poets In The Library for Woburn Sands Folk Festival 1145-1245. Come and say hello. Txxx Theresa Kelleher: A seasoned poet and storyteller, Theresa’s style is really quite diverse, from narrative to random rhythm across a range of topics. She performs in various venues around the UK. Lyn Rivers: likes a good giggle, so writes humorous poems and songs. She is usually late for everything, which probably explains why she didnt get into poetry until the age of 53. When not writing or painting, she can be found pretending to garden, or practicing to be an extremely eccentric old lady. Eddie Thompson: An expatriot Manxman who moved to Milton Keynes, with his wife Enid and daughters Kirsty and Gill, in 1981. His rapidly diminishing attention span ensures that his verses rarely exceed six lines but they do cover a variety of subjects, from MK Dons to Manx cats. Sam Upton: A spoken word poet from Milton Keynes. He has been writing and performing since February 2014. Poetry evokes a lot of different reactions in many different people. To some its all flowery romance and other just olde English and nursery rhymes. For Sam poetry is one of the purest forms of expression possible. Yaw Asiyama: a prolific freelance story teller, lyricist, actor, writer, director, painter and poet. A father of four of Ghanaian descent he founded Yaw’s House Productions in 2003. His plays have toured extensively in England including The Hackney Empire and Milton Keynes Theatre. He has two plays Me Marley and I and Tour of Duty at this years Camden Fringe Festival. Mister L (Gregory Loftman) Gregs work is rhythmical and profound. He touches all age groups with the content of his work. Here is a sample below.
