Point Blank: Kwara State Govt And the People. My love and struggle for the good of the people know no bound. I have bn demonstrating this for a long time through various projects and programme. At a time I had a publication called, Rural News, wc not only highlights happenings in our rural communities but assist to proffer solutions too. Dr Aluko, Tafida of Ilorin once took me to Gen Abacha for patronage but felt out of favour due to a condition contary to the philosophy of my paper. Uncle Awoniyi of Oroago is also a living witness. Colonel Ogar ( as he then was) also tried to play on us at a time when he was the Military Administrator of the state. It was about an exclusive story on water chemical scandal. He felt the story should be killed moreso when my kin was incharge of the Ministry been challenged. Just a random pick of some efforts and our stand or strong head! I have also had the opportunity to be saddled by the World Bank to intiate a forum for good governance in Nigeria. Through this effort, I got my tentacles extended across the country. One of my mates and friends to date is our iron lady from Minna- Hajia Aminah Abdullah. These days, she is gone deeply religious. Thank God for her life. We however failed through uncooperative attitude of ALGON. It is impetative to go this far with a view to disabuding minds that feel we csn abandone what we have taken as a duty- Service to the peiple. Needless mentioning the championing of Self Determination Project for my kins due to glaring marginalisation escalated more than ever during Bukola Sarakis regime. Undoubtedly I have reasons to critised Saraki/Ahmed adminstration but within the confines of the laws, fairness and equity, which are the cardinal principles of my trade- the pen profession. There was no time I was accused of bias or unfairness. I believe and engage in constructive critisms. Many times we advice on what to do. Perhaps I need to restate my association with the incumbent Chief mExecutive Officer of the state, Dr Abdulfattah Ahmed. Without any regret or exxageration, we are close. As a point of fact, he was a member of our forum, I. e. Kwara South Forum where I was the president and elder. Between 2003=5, we undertook projects that were beneficiaries to the people. I boast to also reveal that I knew about his nomination as a successor to Bukola Saraki. We parted ways on principle. Ore ja ni, ki ro jo. But the case of Igbaja Hospital was one of the issues. Ladies and gentlemen I am still Oyin Zubair in both ways. I can sting and can be sweet. I dont condole indiscipline. I abhor corruption and indolence. Do unto others as you will want them to do to you is my motto. Today, I am back on the saddle. However it is with an objective to get to the roots of the matter in the interest of all Kwarans. I call on all and sundry to say here what they know about the followings: a- SURE-P programme in Kwara state. i- Who handles the funding ii- Shares to Kwara State n LGAs. iii. Any other related matters to its execution in the state. What I see in Kogi and Niger States on its execution call for concern. b. Ecological Fund: We demand to know why kwara state is left to suffer. Please come on board with facts only. This is for serious minds. No foul language or wrongful accusations. My rgds.
