Pokagons CCC Camp Self-Guided Trail is soon to be a reality! Staff completed the installation of the 48 posts delineating the locations of buildings and 12 interpretive signs describing the camp occupied by Company 556. Theres still some final work to do and some landscaping to finish up, but the trail should be open for use this fall! Assisting Pokagon staff and the parks Dept. of Corrections crew was Jerry Lash (yellow shirt). Jerrys dad, Ormand, was stationed with Company 556 and lived in the Pokagon Camp in 1938-39.
