***Police Activity*** 4/27/14 - 5/3/14 300 block of Broad St – Officer were called to a Bear attempting to break into OIP. The bear was chased to the 600 block of Broad where Officers attempted to chase it up a tree but were unsuccessful. 100 block of N Loyalsock Ave – Parking complaint 100 block of N Loyalsock Ave – An Officer investigated a speeding complaint/road rage. 100 block of Arch St – CHARGES FILED – Theft (M-1), Receiving Stolen Property (M-2) 1200 block of Broad St – Vehicle crash with no injuries 500 block of Broad St – An Officer responded to the report of a female sitting on the curb with her legs in the street. The female was gone upon arrival. 200 block of Broad St – An Officer stopped a man for Public Drunkenness. He was given a ride to his destination. 300 block of South Alley – An Officer responded to the report of a telephone pole being on fire. He called for the Fire Department. 300 block of N Montour St – An Officer responded to the report of a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a false alarm. 1000 block of N Loyalsock Ave – Vehicle crash with no injuries. Broad St @ Arch St – DUI vehicle stop. More details when charges are filed. 1000 block of N Loyalsock Ave – Vehicle stop for suspended registration due to no insurance. The vehicle was towed. 1100 block of Broad St – Vehicle crash with no injuries Walmart – CHARGES FILED – Retail Theft (F-3) the suspect was placed in the Lycoming County Prison 400 block of Chestnut St - An Officer responded to the report of a woman having difficulty breathing. 700 block of Mulberry St – An Officer responded to the report of a multiple reckless drivers. All three were identified. 700 block of Broad St – Vehicle crash with no injuries 600 block of Weldon St – An Officer responded to an unknown medical emergency. 400 block of Allen St – An Officer investigated a call about a solicitor. The man did have the proper permit. Old Lycoming Twp – An Officer responded in an attempt to locate the vehicle of a man suspected of committing an armed robbery. *Any larger incidents still under investigation will not be made public if it may compromise the case. They will be posted when charges are filed or when the case is closed. *I will be trying to post one of these activity logs every Sunday. *Despite my efforts to list every incident, some still get missed by me on this log. If you have a question about our response to an incident and you dont see it on a log, just ask. I will research it and get you the information. That is not a problem. *You may note that some traffic stops are listed on here. I will list them if there is more to the stop then just a traffic ticket being written or a warning given.
