Police Blotter 7/28/14 - 7/29/14 Patrols checked a report of a male lying on the Heritage Trail. Patrol located the 21 year old male passed out on the ground with a needle cap in his hand. The officer woke up the subject, who was disoriented and admitted to using heroin before falling asleep on the trail. The subject was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle and three glassine envelopes of suspected heroin. The subject was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. An employee of a Transit Road movie theater reported being threatened by a customer. Patrols responded to a report of suspicious activity at a bank branch on Broadway. A complainant reported that two males had entered the bank and one of the males was clearly seen to be carrying a handgun on his hip. Patrols stopped the subjects vehicle as it left the bank and determined that the male had a valid NYS concealed carry pistol permit and that he was conducting legitimate business at the bank. The subject was strongly advised to better conceal his firearm. Officers investigated a suspicious incident that occurred at a Transit Road retail store. A complainant reported that a suspicious person had been on the back patio of a residence on Division Street overnight. The complainant reported that the subject ran off when they were discovered. Patrols checked the area for the subject. Lancaster dispatchers handled 11 requests for emergency medical services. Patrols arrested a 33 year old female on School Street for an outstanding warrant from the Village of Depew. A complainant from a Transit Road apartment complex reported a case of identity theft. Patrol stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue for having a suspended registration. A D.M.V. check showed that the 34 year old female operator had a suspended license and the vehicle registration was suspended, both for insurance not in effect. The subject was issued U.T.T.s, the vehicle was towed and license plates confiscated.
