Police Public meetings held in Sopore and Chadoora: Sachnews Jammu Kashmir Srinagar, June 01: Police Public meetings were held at Janawara, Sopore and Chadoora, Budgam. According to district police authorities, a Police Public meeting convened by SDPO Sopore Sh. Riyaz Iqbal was held at Modern Public School Janawara. The meeting was attended by civil society committees of Zaingeer belt, Sarpanch, Punches, Numberdar, Chowkidars and students of the school, besides; SHO Sopore and Incharge PP Warpora were also present on the occasion. On this occasion SDPO Sopore on behalf of SP Sopore Sh. Abdul Qayoom listened to the grievances and problems of the participants. The SDPO assured on behalf of SP that all possible steps would be taken to develop good Police public relations and such meeting would be held in other parts of the area of Sopore under community policing program. Meanwhile another police-public meeting was held at Chadoora Budgam. SDPO Chrar e Sharief Ashiq Hussain Tak chaired the meeting. Drug menace remained the main focus. Many issues like regulation of tuition centres, regular market checking and streamlining of traffic were highlighted by the participants. The respectables assured the police of cooperation in every endeavor to maintain peace and tranquility in the area. SHO Arshad khan and Inspector Manzoor Ahmad also attended the meeting.
