Police appeal after armed robbery of convenience store – Alexandria Police are appealing for information after the armed robbery of a convenience store at Alexandria last night. About 8.40pm (Friday 18 April 2014), two men armed with knives entered a convenience store on Lawrence Street and threatened the attendant, demanding cash. The 36-year-old male attendant complied with the pair’s demands and they were last seen leaving the store with cash. The attendant was not injured. Police from Redfern LAC - NSW Police Force attended and established a crime scene. Officers would now like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with inquiries. The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head, with a white motif on the front, a light-coloured cap, and dark blue pants. He was also carrying a black sports bag. The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged 17-20 years old, 170-175cm tall, with blue or green eyes and a medium to large build. He was last seen wearing a green hoodie pulled over his head, with a white motif on the front and the emblazoned word ‘Blackwood’.
