Police appeal after shot fired - Granville Police are appealing for public assistance after a shot was fired at Granville tonight. About 8.10pm (Tuesday 1 July 2014), a 19-year-old man was walking north on Blaxcell Street when a vehicle, described as a dark-coloured late model sedan, pulled up alongside him. Police have been told a single shot was fired from the car before the round hit the front window of a nearby home. There were no reports of injury. Officers from Rosehill LAC - NSW Police Force were called to the street and established a crime scene. It’s unknown how many people were inside the car, which was last seen driving away on Blaxcell Street. As a result of the incident, police have closed Blaxcell Street between Guildford Road and Markey Street while they conduct investigations. The intersection of Blaxcell Street and Oakleigh Avenue is also closed. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and visit Live Traffic NSW for alternative routes: https://livetraffic/desktop.html Officers attached to Operation Talon have been notified and are assisting with the investigation.
