Police appeal after woman allegedly intimidated - Wollongong Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was arrested over allegedly intimidating a woman earlier this week in Wollongong. About 4.10pm on Thursday 7 August 2014, a 40-year-old woman was driving out of a residential car park on Kembla Street when she noticed a Toyota Camry allegedly following her closely. As the woman travelled along Kembla Street and Smith Street, the Toyota allegedly drove closely behind her, swerved into other lanes, and crossed double lines. Fearing for her safety, the woman parked outside Wollongong Police Station on Church Street. Police have been told the male driver of the Toyota stopped next to her and made threatening gestures. A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with four offences relating to intimidation and driving a vehicle in a menacing manner. He was refused bail to appear at Port Kembla Bail Court today (Saturday 9 August 2014). Meanwhile, investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
