Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was indecently assaulted on a train between Wyong and Gosford at the weekend. About 7.10pm on Saturday 3 May 2014, a man boarded a southbound train at Ourimbah Railway Station and sat down next to a 15-year-old girl. Police will allege the man began talking to the girl, before indecently assaulting her. When the girl stood up and moved away from her seat, the man allegedly followed her. She then kicked the man in the groin and alighted the train at Gosford, before notifying Sydney Trains staff. The teenager reported the incident to police on another southbound train. Officers from the Police Transport Command have commenced an investigation and would now like to speak to a man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries. The man is described as having an olive complexion, aged between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 178cm tall, with a solid build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded top and grey pants. Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/. Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
