Police are appealing for information to find those responsible for dumping asbestos in Granville overnight. About midnight, unknown offenders in a truck dumped building waste in Parker, A’Beckett and Arthur Streets. The dumped material consists mainly of wall sheeting that contains asbestos. Fire & Rescue NSW and the local council have treated the waste and removed the material. Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the dumping, or anyone with information about those responsible, to contact Granville Police Station.
