Police are appealing for witnesses after a home invasion in Wagga Wagga last night. About 9pm (Wednesday 13 August 2014), a 40-year-old woman was closing the door of her home on Chifley Crescent, Kooringal, when a man forced his way in. The man pushed the woman to the ground and walked past her into the house. He approached a 44-year-old man in the house, threatened him with a knife and demanded cash. The 44-year-old complied handing over a sum of cash and the man then ran from the location. Police were contacted and Wagga Wagga Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation. A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers. The woman was not injured as a result of the incident. Investigators would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries. He was described as Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, large build and at the time was wearing dark blue hoodie, black jeans and boots.
