Police are currently at the scene of a car at the corner of Gouger and Morphett Street that was found to contain Molotov cocktails earlier this morning. Just after 2am, Police were waved down by a taxi driver at the corner of Morphett Street and Hindley Street after an altercation between him and another man. There were allegations of a collision, and Police obtained the registration of the other vehicle. The car was quickly located on Morphett Street where Police will allege they located a car with Molotov cocktails inside. A crime scene was established and the vehicle secured. MFS attended to assist with the vehicle and SAPOLs Explosives Coordination Section (ECS) are currently at the scene assessing the items in the car. Police believe this is not a random incident and will be alleging the man was planning a targeted attack on persons known to him. No serious injuries have been reported to Police. The man has been charged with possession of items for acts to endanger life, assault and resist arrest. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday Police want to assure the public that there is no risk to the public and that Police are currently on the scene gathering evidence.
