Police are investigating a deliberately lit brush fence fire in Johnstone Road, Oaklands Park overnight. A newspaper delivery man discovered the fire at about 4.30am and extinguished it with a garden hose before MFS crews arrived at the scene. No one was injured during the incident. Police believe the fire to have been deliberately lit, with five ignition points along the fence line. Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Johnstone Road area overnight or who has any other information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
