Police are investigating after a man attended a hospital with a wound to his leg last night. About 9.30pm (Thursday 17 April 2014), a 25-year-old Guildford man attended Westmead Hospital with a wound to his right knee, believed to be from an air rifle. The man has told police that he believes he was shot while he was jogging around Springfield Park, the Promenade, Old Guildford, between 6.30pm and 8pm yesterday (Thursday 17 April 2014).. Police from Fairfield Local Area Command commenced an investigation and a search of the park was completed, no projectiles were located. Officers will speak with the man further when his medical condition allows. The 25-year-old is in a stable condition and his injuries are not considered life threatening Investigators would like to speak to anyone that was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious behaviour, or has any information in relation to the incident.
