Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Minto, in Sydney’s south west. About 7pm yesterday (Sunday 6 April 2014), a man entered the hotel on Minto Road armed with a firearm. Police have been told the man jumped the counter and threatened staff, demanding money. He fled with a sum of cash and police were alerted. Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and commenced inquiries. They’re appealing for public assistance in an attempt to identify and locate the man involved. He’s described as being Pacific Islander / Maori appearance, approximately 185cm tall and with solid build.
