Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fight at a home in Bankstown that has left two men hospitalised; one with head injuries and the other with stab wounds. Officers have been told about 8.30pm (Wednesday 20 August 2014), two men began to argue while at a gathering at a home in Brandon Avenue, Bankstown. A fight ensued, with one man sustaining serious head injuries and the other suffering a number of stab wounds. The man with head injuries was taken to Bankstown Hospital, while the other man was taken to Liverpool Hospital a short time later. Their current conditions are not known. Police from Bankstown Local Area Command secured a crime scene that is being examined by specialist forensic officers. An investigation is now underway and police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist to come forward.
