Police are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body on a beach near Byron Bay this morning. About 11.20am today (Monday 9 June), police were called to Tallow Beach after reports a body had been found in the sand dunes. A crime scene has been established which will be attended by forensic specialists. At this stage, the woman’s identity and the cause of her death are unknown. A port mortem examination will be conducted. Anyone with information about the woman’s death is urged to contact Tweed/Byron Local Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
